Sprucing up a little girl's room!

So I have been working on updating my daughter's bedrooms.  I thought it would be fun to give them both a cute headboard for their beds.  I started with first room using a piece of wainscoating cut to the size of her bed.  I taped it off so I could paint the sections different colors.
I then painted all the first sections pink to match her bedspread.  Then after that dried, taped it off again to paint the remaining sections.

Finally, I got some trim and painted it the same color and finished off the front with that.  I attached some support boards to the back and screwed it to the bed frame.

How to make tile coasters

Okay, to start your project you are going to want to cut your photo or paper to the size of the coaster.  Once you have done this, apply a thin layer of Modge Podge to the tile and then carefully place your photo or paper on it.  The Modge Podge doesn't dry super fast, so you have a time to straighten it out and adjust the placement if necessary.

Once you have it where you like it, apply another layer of Modge Podge on top of the picture or paper.  After it dries (10-15 min.) apply another layer of Modge Podge on top.  I usually do  2 or 3 layers of Modge Podge. After you have done applied all your layers of Modge Podge, use your clear acrylic sealer and spray a thin coat over the whole coaster, making sure to get the edges.  I put on 2-3 coats making sure to let it dry in between applications.

Once your coaster is completely dry, flip it over and hot glue your felt circles to the corners.  Flip it back over and enjoy a nice cold drink!

Hairbow/Hair band holder

So this is the beginning of our little crafting group.  I have been dying to make this hair bow holder, so I was super excited that I finally was able to do it.  Below are the pictures, I think it turned out pretty well!  I am going to hook hair clips to the ribbons and hang up her ponytail holders and stretchy headbands on the hooks.
